It's a Boy! (We're Pretty Sure!)

This morning, we spent about an hour with a wonderful sonographer (who loves to label!) She is extremely sure we have a little boy in our future! Everything is growing great!

Ray's office is moving downstairs, so the nursery will literally be around the corner from our bedroom. I'm thinking of doing a jungle theme for the nursery -- so on the off chance she is wrong, I can just add more butterflies and flowers.

13 Week Ultrasound

The following week they finally got the measurements they needed. Here you can see a pretty clear profile.

In November we find out the gender. I don't care one way or the other as long as they're healthy. Ray wants a boy so they can have matching suits.

12 Week Ultrasound

They needed to do measurements for a screening at 12 to 13 weeks. This day the critter was somersaulting around like crazy. I had no idea they moved that much. The sonographer couldn't get the measurements, so they asked me to come back in another week.

What happened to the summer?

Sorry for the lack of updates, but life was really hectic this summer with the number I deadlines I had. I was working just about every weekend, and that makes time fly!

So the big news that we got in August was a positive pregnancy test! We're excited and freaked out at the same time! Please send lots of prayers and positive thoughts.

This is my first ultrasound at 9 weeks. What a little bean!

Here are some beautiful pink blossoms for our moms! Our neighbors' crab apple tree is a wonder to behold this time of year!

Spring Blooms

Here are some beauties from our yard. We took off the storm windows this weekend, and it was really nice to have the breeze blowing in the house!

Rocky Start to 2009

Since last fall, Ray's business has slowed down dramatically. We've made adjustments the best we can to save money, but it's tough. The good news is that everyone's healthy, there's food in the cabinets, and I have a job I like. When I get down, there's always our kitty to cheer me up. How can you not smile at him lying down in a sunbeam?
